A month ago, Philip Morris started selling the warmed tobacco iqos accessories and sticks in the United States. This is right around 3 years after they were advertised in Canada. The justification the deferral was that the UAE Food and Drug Administration would not allow the offer of this or some other new tobacco item until it was fulfilled that doing so was in the public interest. In conceding authority, the FDA forced market limitations and detailing necessities that were intended to restrict hurtful unintended outcomes - like starting use by non-smokers or previous smokers.
